Nissan is a Japanese car manufacturer that incorporated the initially independent brands Datsun and Prince. In 1999, the Renault-Nissan Alliance came into being from the manufacturers Renault and Nissan. Since 2010, a strategic partnership has existed between Daimler AG and Renault-Nissan. Since then, Daimler has had a 3.1 percent share in Nissan. The current Nissan commercial vehicle range includes the models NV200, Primastar and NV400.
Small and nimble: the Nissan NV200
The entry point into the Asian company's commercial vehicle range is the NV200, which succeeded the Kubistar as the smallest van in the range. The city delivery van has a loading space just above two metres long, a loading volume of up to 4.2 cubic metres and a useful load of up to 708 kilograms. For the engine, customers have the choice between two 1.5 litre diesel engines with 90 and 110 PS and one 1.6 litre petrol engine, also with 110 PS. In 2014, the electric version e-NV200 made its first appearance in Germany.
A one tonne primadonna: the Nissan Primastar
The second generation of the Primastar series, which the Japanese company only produces at the Nissan Motor Ibérica factory, was launched in 2014. As with its structurally identical siblings, the Renault Trafic and Opel Vivaro, the latest Primastar model still based on the old Nissan commercial vehicle range is also coming on stage with a new look. The 66 to 103 kW (90 to 140 PS) Primastar comes in two wheelbases and two vehicle lengths (4,998 and 5,398 millimetres). The loading spaces are up to 2.94 metres long and result in storage volumes between 5.2 and 8.6 cubic metres.
Versatile large van: the Nissan NV400
The NV400 from the Japanese company is placed in a higher weight category. This large van can be supplied with front wheel drive or rear wheel drive and the models available are characterised by numerous options. A wide variety of configurations can be produced from the three wheelbases, four total lengths, three vehicle heights, loading lengths between 2,583 and 3,733 millimetres, loading spaces with volumes between 8 and 17 cubic metres and a total weight of 2.8 to 4.5 tonnes. The 2.3 litre diesel engine is available in power output levels of 74, 92 and 107 kW (100, 125 and 146 PS) and was developed by the group partner Renault.
