Participation of more than 35 EUROPART apprentices from all over Germany / Apprentices volunteered to support a sponsor of their choice / Social commitment and personal development are promoted
April 24 through 28, EUROPART hosted for the first time a Germany-wide Apprentice Charity Day.
Twelve apprentices from the company’s headquarters in Hagen and 27 apprentices from the branches spent a day volunteering in a social institution for one day. The choices were between, for example, kindergartens, hospitals and retirement homes, as well as schools, soup kitchens, food banks or animal shelters.
The apprentices with this project have not only been able to support a sponsor of their choice but also develop their own social commitment and actively boost personal development.
"With Charity Day we want to give our apprentices the opportunity to engage and to get involved besides their daily work." says Karin Mehwald, Director of Human Resources International at EUROPART. "At EUROPART, we place particular emphasis on a culture of openness with individual appreciation and tolerance. The Charity-Day project not only engages in all of this, but also supports our apprentices in entrepreneurial thinking and prepares them for a successful career. This is of course a great asset for us as an international company."
