Even though the overall quality of our air has improved, the volume of traffic is constantly increasing - and with it the pollution for you as vehicle occupants. The ongoing discussion about pollution caused by traffic has already resulted in the first driving bans - even across Europe - for diesel vehicles.
Biofunctional activated carbon filters reduce nitrogen dioxide pollution by approx. 90%.
Cities are becoming "car-free" to protect all road users outside vehicles. But what about the occupants of vehicles who often spend a large part of their working day in the vehicle cabin, such as bus drivers, truck drivers, sales representatives or cab drivers?
Even exposure to 40 micrograms of nitrogen dioxide per cubic meter of air (µg/m³) is considered harmful to health. It has been proven that exposure in road traffic is many times higher at times. Exposure for as little as two hours a day can lead to higher levels of inflammation, which in turn can result in chronic illnesses. The use of biofunctional activated carbon filters enables a significant reduction of nitrogen dioxide pollution by approx. 90 %.
Air filters prevent mold and bacteria growth
A particulate filter reliably filters out dust, pollen and dirt particles from the incoming air before it enters the vehicle interior. An activated carbon filter builds on this effect, but in addition it binds gases and odors in the activated carbon layer, thus protecting vehicle occupants even more effectively. The biofunctional activated carbon filter combines these two functions and also prevents microorganisms, bacteria and mold from forming and growing on the so-called filter cake, i.e. the accumulation of dirt on the filter element. Otherwise, these can represent an additional burden for your health.
The filter achieves this additional effect because the material used does not contain any nutrients that promote the growth of bacteria or fungi - the medium has a fungistatic structure. You can visually recognize such high-quality biofunctional activated carbon filters by the blue-colored raw air side of the cabin air filter.
Our biofunctional activated carbon filters offer very good particle separation including PM 2.5 standard confirmation according to DIN 71460-3. Excellent adsorption of gases and odors, combined with the fact that the formation of mold and bacteria on the filter cake is also prevented, has been documented by the MPA in Bremen according to DIN EN ISO 846: 1997.
Biofunctional activated carbon filters mean active health protection for you
Active health protection for a wide range of customers: Everyone who regularly drives on the road can benefit from biofunctional activated charcoal filters: This applies to families with small children just as much as to commuters, job-related frequent drivers such as cab or truck drivers, field service employees, drivers of delivery services or employees of mobile care services who spend several hours on the roads every day. Of course, the filters are also perfectly suited for use in buses - here, the use of a biofunctional filter will even result in improved health protection not only for the driver, but also for all passengers.
Modern tractors have long since become high-tech vehicles, equipped with various comfort components. These should also include a biofunctional activated carbon filter, which, like other assistance systems, contributes to the safety of the vehicle occupants and also makes a major contribution to the healthy working day of your colleagues.
