The Italian car manufacturer Fiat has its headquarters in Turin and has been active in the light commercial vehicle sector for many years. The product range of the company founded in 1899 includes the four series Fiorino, Doblò Cargo, Scudo and Ducato.
2.5 cubic metres of loading space: the Fiat Fiorino
The smallest Fiat commercial vehicle model, the Fiorino, which is available as a panel van, had a loading volume of 2.5 cubic metres and can load up to 585 kilograms. Alongside the 1.4 litre petrol engine with 73 PS, two diesel engines with 75 and 95 PS are available.
Versatile for city life: the Fiat Doblò Cargo
The latest generation of the Doblò Cargo is offered in four body variants: panel van, combi van, chassis cab with flat floor and pick-up truck (WorkUp model). Customers can choose between two body heights and two wheelbases. The city delivery van comes in the standard version with a short wheelbase and flat roof, the Maxi XL and the pick-up truck (WorkUp) and has a load capacity of one tonne. The useful load ranges from 675 to 1,000 kilograms with loading volumes between 3.4 and 5.4 cubic metres. The 1.3 Multijet forms the basis for the turbodiesel engines, which is available with 75 PS or 90 PS, depending on the version. The 1.6 Multijet engine is offered with three power output levels 90, 100 and 105 PS. The most powerful engine among the diesel engines is the two litre turbodiesel with 135 PS. The 1.4 with 95 PS is the entry point in the petrol engine range. 120 PS is achieved by the 1.4 T-Jet turboengine, which is also available with the same power output as the hybrid option 1.4 T-Jet Natural Power, which can be used on petrol or natural gas as desired.
Versatile: the Fiat Scudo
The Fiat Scudo is available as a panel van, glazed panel van, multicab with rear door cladding, combi van, semi-glazed combi van and panorama version. With two wheelbases (3,000 and 3,122 millimetres), two vehicle heights (1,980 and 2,290 millimetres), three loading volumes (five to seven cubic metres) and a useful load of up to 1.2 tonnes, the 90 to 165 PS panel van meets a wide range of requirements.
Success story: the Fiat Ducato
The sixth generation of the Fiat Ducato was launched in May 2014. As well as giving the large van a facelift, the Italian company increased the permissible axle load of the front axle (2.1 tonnes) and the rear axle (2.5 tonnes) with the result that the Ducato weighs in at 4.4 tonnes in total. The large panel van can therefore now load up to 2.1 tonnes. In terms of loading volume, the Ducato comes in eight sizes between 8 and 17 cubic metres. For under the bonnet there is a choice of four four-cylinder turbodiesel engines that can be selected with power output levels of 115, 130, 150 and 180 PS.
